TEACHING METHODS: A variety of instructional methods at IRCC are utilized to provide students with meaningful learning experiences. These include lecture/demonstration, video presentations, role-play, and group problem-solving activities.
Grading: Your grade will be determined by your overall efforts in this course.  The final grade will be determined by the following break down.

Class Project          -          25% of grade  -  Discussed in Class

Quizzes                   -          25% of grade  - 1st thing in class - no make ups

Final Exam              -          50% of grade

 ATTENDANCE POLICY:

 Although the instructor is ultimately responsible for the achievement of course goals, each student's unique experiences are sources of learning as well. It is vital that you attend class regularly to be a full partner in this enhanced learning environment. Your involvement will be taken into consideration in case of a borderline final grade. Obviously, it is each student's responsibility to personally contact the instructor in advance, if a class is going to be missed, regarding assignments or exams. The instructor will not accept late work. Please contact the instructor anytime you are not achieving your desired level of success, especially if you are considering dropping the course.  Students considering withdrawing from this, or any class, are urged to first talk with the instructor before taking any action. "Incomplete" (I) grades are assigned only when medical or family emergency prevents a student from completing a minor portion of the course. NO make-up exams are given. Late projects are not accepted.

Grading Criteria

Important Notice Regarding Grading Criteria

Being that some students take this course for informational purpose and college credit, and although the course grading criteria may allow for a passing grade with less than a 70% on the final exam (100 questions), it is a state requirement to obtain a 70% or better on the final exam in order to earn a certificate of completion- which is a necessity to sit for the state exam along with approval of DBPR application from the state. Please contact your instructor with any questions or concerns regarding this matter.
